How does a bookish lady bring an arrogant lord to his knees? Entice him to Scotland, strip him of titles and riches, and make him prove what sort of man he truly is.
Opposites…
Handsome, wealthy, and sublimely confident, Colin Gray, the new Earl of Egremoor, has vowed to unmask the rabble-rousing pamphleteer, Lady Justice, the thorn in England’s paw. And he’ll stop at nothing.
Attract.
Smart, big-hearted, and passionately dedicated to her work, Lady Justice longs to teach her nemesis a lesson in humility. But her sister is missing, and a perilous journey with her archrival into unknown territory just might turn fierce enemies into lovers.
I received The Earl (Devil's Duke, #2) for free. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
The Falcon club has come to an end, but in the best way possible. Fearless leader, Colin Gray, is now an Earl and must take on all the responsibilities. One final loose end is his long-standing feud with the one known as Lady Justice.
Lady Emily Vale has encompassed her secret identity of Lady Justice and is now zeroed in on the man she’s despised for decades. Scotland becomes the scene of the final battle between the warriors, but not all goes as planned. Where there is hatred, there is passion. This passion leads Emily and Colin somewhere they never expected to be. With the fate of several women at stake, the two find themselves in one of the most difficult situations of their lives.
As with the previous Falcon Club members, Colin meets his fate as love, lust, and passion drive him to lengths he never imagined. Emily shows herself as she truly is, stubborn, courageous, and full of a fire too many women lack. Ashe delivered a brilliant, raw finale wrought with emotion. The cherry on top of the Falcon Club cake is the truce between these foes and the overwhelming desires that take hold once they put their differences aside.
While The Falcon Club is at an end, Ashe is nowhere near finished. This is only the second book in the Duke’s Devil Series and I for one cannot wait to devour another delicious masterpiece from Katharine Ashe.
