The night before his wedding, Jared Dupre discovers the demonic witch, Adam Montief, has kidnapped his brother threatening to kill him, along with Jared’s fiancée, Kendra O'Connell, for a centuries-old vendetta Jared knows nothing about. A powerful witch himself, Jared tracks Adam from New Orleans to a remote island off the coast of Connecticut. A swordfight ensues where a final thrust of Jared's blade sends Adam over the cliff into the sea below.

When Jared returns to New Orleans, he finds a triumphant Adam alive and declaring his love for Kendra.

Kendra, not knowing Jared was forced to break off their engagement to save her life, turns to a new man, unaware he’s the same man who vows to kill the man she loves.

Jared must look to the past to discover the truth behind the Montief’s vengeance against the Dupres while he fights to win back Kendra and bring about Adam's final destruction before Kendra is seduced into Adam's world of revenge and sadistic evil.

I received His Magic Touch for free. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Two elements I love in the paranormal genre are witches and ghosts. I lucked out with both in His Magic Touch plus it is set in New Orleans! I craved beignets the entire time I was reading.

Jared Dupre is one fine man. He’s helps run the family hotel, he’s got a beautiful fiancé, and he’s a witch. On his road to the altar, he hits a major complication. His brother has been abducted by a witch bent on settling a centuries old vendetta. While Jared is off chasing his brother, his fiancé, Kendra, is left to pick up the pieces of their wedding fail.

After a great battle and weeks of recuperation, Jared finally makes it back to the big easy to find his nemesis alive and romancing Kendra. The fight is on to win Kendra’s heart and put the vendetta to rest permanently.

Grahl takes us on wild ride while chatting with ghosts, reconnecting with ancestors, and a cursed object or two. I loved Jared from the very beginning. He knew his brother had delved in dark magic in the past, but he was still willing to go after him not knowing why he was abducted and at the peril of losing Kendra. He had some moments when his ego got in the way, but he fought his way into my heart as I’m sure he will yours.

Kendra was a bit of a hard sell for me. She’s a witch, has an awesome job running ghost tours, and has a fiancé she’s been with for five years. I would’ve hoped she could trust Jared a little more than she did, but when the nemesis showed up and cast his spell over her, her trust in Jared vanished. Once she let her heart decide and not her spell drenched mind, things finally became clear.

If you’re in the mood for a steamy witch love triangle with ghosts leading the charge in one of the best cities in the world, you will love His Magic Touch!
